2003 • Volume 1, Issue 2 Meet Our StaffAs we grow and shape our company, we've incorporated a plan to help us provide priority to our customers' business needs as well. Visual Data Systems' has implemented two new divisions, Network Solutions, which will provide network consulting services and implementation to our customers, and Software Engineering. These new divisions will be initially focused on our principal customer base in the Vacation Rental Industry.
Ken Otwell brings more than 18 years of software development and managerial
experience to Visual Data Systems as our new Director of Software Engineering.
Ken's professional background ranges from publishing original software
algorithms for theoretical Artificial Intelligence to designing and implementing
business software for optimizing booking-class ticket allocations to maximize
sales revenue for several domestic and European airlines. Most recently
he has managed a software team where he developed and instituted a wide
range of software lifecycle "best practices" for corporate product development.
Ken's breadth of experience in the airline travel industry will promote
new product ideas and methodologies for our travel customers as we continue
to explore new opportunities to provide quality products and valuable
services to our clients. Ken is available to answer any software related

Tom
Kaczmarek, the new Director of Network Solutions, will be building a new
national practice, delivering infrastructure consulting, design, and implementation
of network services to our existing client base and those of our technology
partners. Tom has been managing the implementation of wide and local area
networks, and optimizing their design to maximize their impact within
established business models, for more than fifteen years. He is a Cisco
Certified Design Professional (CCDP), a Cisco Certified Network Professional
(CCNP), holds additional infrastructure certifications from Intel and
Hewlett Packard (HP), and is a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE)
and a Certified Novell Engineer (CNE). Tom welcomes any network related
